This is a multi-session workshop, held on Thursdays from September 10 through October 8 + October 3 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Participants must be able to attend all sessions.
Get ready for an art fundamentals workshop for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-17 with local artist and designer, Alexis Politz!
Whether you're new or seasoned, all are welcome to learn and hone their skills in drawing, painting, and printmaking. The workshop will culminate in a gallery at our National Coming Out Day event for youth on October 11 from 1-4 p.m. to display their final artwork.
*Note: This is free and open to any 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-17 in the Twin Cities to participate .
underDARE is teaming up with Wild Things Collective and The Clapping Monkey House of Coffee with a selection of gender-affirming garments for transgender and nonbinary people. You can walk in, ask questions, get fitted, try on and purchase garments in a welcoming, private and non-judgmental setting.
Meet the pollinators and creepy crawlies that inhabit our prairie and fields at our next QUEERY meetup!
We will meet at a local prairie to learn from Dr. Diane Angell about how scientists use bumblebees to assess the overall health of the ecosystem, and take part in a bumblebee survey. We may even find the endangered Rusty Patch Bumble Bee! While out in the field, we will also look for other invertebrates (creepy crawlies!) using sweep nets and other tools.
Bring your cell phone for taking video surveys of the Bumble Bees. Come ready for a morning of scientific exploration!
The location will be provided when you register. There are no bathrooms on site for this event.
